Curriculum Sequence, Academic Calendar and Peer Mentor

The curriculum Sequence for Dietetics https://www.nfsc.umd.edu/undergraduate/forms shows the courses needed to complete a Bachelor of Science degree in Dietetics Option. Some courses are offered in the Fall or Spring only. It is the responsibility of the students to meet the prerequisites for the courses.  The information can be found on Testudo  or Student Handbook 2018-2019.

The Dietetics follows the UMD Academic Calendars. For deadlines, holiday schedule and other calendars see the UMD calendar website.

Each semester, students meet with their advisors to review their four year plan and revisit their academic goals and plans.  Sara Kao, AGNR Assistant Director and Dr. Margaret Udahogora, RD,  the DPD Director send email messages each semester using the listserv to remind students of the advising period and of specific instructions.

Please contact nfscinfo@umd.edu to ensure that your name is added to the email list.

 Peer Mentor services

AGNR offers Peer Mentor services. Mentors are students who have achieved good academic success  while being earning work experience and are active in other extracurricular activities. Mentors are fellow student you can interact with to discuss everyday campus issues, advising, Schedule of classes, registration, and more.

For the Dietetics Program, Taylor Kasoff is available to answer your questions. For additional information on scheduling an appointment with her, please visit AGNR Peer Mentors
