| January 31, 2027 | January 31, 2027 – Priority Application Date: Applications received by this date will receive first consideration. All applicants must have completed the online DICAS application by January 31, 2027 at 11:59 PM. All applicants must also submit additional materials Application fee should be made payable to University of Maryland ($40), (and, if applicable) international student applicants must submit the international students form and TOEFL scores.

| February, 2027 | Selected applicants for the University of Maryland Dietetic internship College Park will be interviewed via Zoom following receipt of their application. |
| Mid- to late-February, 2027 | The UMCP Dietetic Internship Admissions Committee will decide which students to offer a seat. |
| On or before March 1, 2027 (Decision Notification) | The UMCP Dietetic Internship Admissions Committee will notify prospective interns of their decision. |
| On or before March 10, 2027 (Student Decision Required) | Students will need to provide the program with their decision to accept or decline the seat on or before March 15, 2025. |
| March-June 2027 | Rolling Admissions: Applications received after January 31, 2027 will be reviewed on a rolling basis as space remains available. The program may close applications once all available positions have been filled. |
| May-July 2027 | Incoming interns will receive pre-program tasks such as background checks and medical documentation requirements. Interns will receive another copy of the Memorandum of Agreement and send in a signed copy. |
| June 16, 2027 | UMD must receive your deposit of the program fee ("initial payment") of $4550 by June 16. |
| July 15, 2027 | UMD must receive the remainder of your program fee of $4000 by July 15. |
| August 16, 2027 | First day of orientation |
| August 30, 2027 | Official Program start |
