Throughout the year, the dietetic interns complete a variety of projects to enhance their knowledge of nutrition informatics. Some projects that the interns complete include:
Blog Posts: Interns write about their internship experiences and post to the UMD dietetic internship blogsite.
Health Informatics Tools: Interns research various tools that could be used to treat a disease state or help to solve a nutrition related problem through technology.

Clinical Decision Support: Interns research a disease state that would benefit from interventions by a Registered Dietitian and create an algorithm that could be used in building an Electronic Health Record (EHR) that would trigger an RD intervention during the patient's clinical course of treatment.
