2015 Maryland Day

The NFSC Dietetic Interns represented the department at the 2015 UMCP Maryland Day on Saturday, April 25, 2015.  The booth included a corn hole/ bean bag toss for children with a MyPlate-inspired activity book with crayons as a prize. All participants were winners!  As children tossed bean bags, parents were able to get tear-offs on portion control and look at food models.  The kids also liked food models.  Based on give away the booth had over 500 visitors (kids + adults).


While some of the interns worked at the NFSC Internship booth, others worked at the National Agricultural Library booth.


Still others worked with our partners in Extension.



Despite the cold weather, a good time was had by all!
