NFSC students visited Crossvines Winery Bistro

NFSC students visited Crossvines Winery Bistro organized by Maryland IFT on 4th May 2024. Although it was a rainy day, the visit was well worth it as we were given a thorough peek behind the scenes into what goes into not just making good wine but also what it takes to set up a winery. Tyler Henley was a great tour guide and addressed all the intriguing questions we had. The highlight of the tour was the details we got on just how much science goes into pruning the grape vines and how they need to be planted and tended to. The tour ended with a delightful wine taste experience, coupled with a tastefully crafted cheese board at the in-house Bistro.
