The 2013 Shorb Lecture occured on October 21st at 4:00 p.m. in Stamp Student Union, Grand Ballroom Lounge. The lecture was presented by Dr. Lawrence (Larry) Chan from Baylor College of Medicine. His research interests include diabetes and the metabolic syndrome; lipoprotein metabolism and atherosclerosis; and somatic gene therapy and other molecular therapies for the treatment of diabetes and obesity.
